Prospective agenda topics for the Committees will be identified, and action items established for broad-based cooperation of the M&S community.
This is the first annual convention of organizations interested in realizing the potential of House Resolution 487 of 2007 declaring Modeling and Simulation (M&S) a “National Critical Technology”. This informative event will provide organizations an opportunity to influence the evolution of the National M&S Enterprise.
NMSC is a new national organization whose intent is to bring together all constituents and stakeholders developing and using modeling and simulation in manufacturing, defense, medicine, energy, transportation, education and other areas. Its purpose is to establish and further a national agenda for modeling and simulation and to facilitate its growth and use into broad areas to support our national economy, social welfare and security. Approximately 500 senior executives from corporate, academic, government and other organizations will attend the inaugural event, along with Representative J. Randy Forbes (4th District VA) and other members of the U.S. House of Representatives M&S Caucus.
